Terms
The arrangement, in plain words. Last updated 31 July 2026.
What ShipWhenReady is
A tool for keeping release checklists. You add a product, plan a version, and work a checklist until it ships. It is not a backup service and not a system of record — keep your own copy of anything you would be sorry to lose.
Your account
You sign in with GitHub, so your account is only as secure as that one; look after it. One account is for one person. You're responsible for what you put in the app, and for having the right to put it there. You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live.
Plans and payment
Free covers one active product, with unlimited releases, checklists and items under it, and no card. Pro removes the product limit. Current prices are on the pricing page.
Pro is billed in advance, monthly or yearly, and renews automatically until you cancel. Stripe takes the payment and handles tax.
Cancel whenever you like, from the billing page. Cancelling stops the renewal and nothing else: you keep Pro until the end of the period you've already paid for, and then the account returns to Free with everything still there. We don't refund part-used periods, but if something has gone genuinely wrong, ask us.
If we change the price, we'll tell you by email before it applies to you, and you can cancel before it does.
What we ask of you
Don't use the app to break the law, don't try to reach other people's accounts or data, and don't attack the service or work around its limits. Automated access is fine in moderation; hammering the app until it falls over is not.
Who owns what
Your content stays yours. We store and display it only to run the app for you. The app itself — the code, the design, the name — stays ours.
Availability and liability
We try to keep the app running and its data intact, but it is provided as it is, without a warranty or an uptime guarantee, and it depends on services we don't control. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the problem. Nothing here limits liability that legally can't be limited.
Ending it
You can delete your account at any time from your profile page, which removes it and everything under it. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that we're required to close — and if we do, we'll tell you why unless we're not allowed to.
Changes to these terms
We'll email you before a change that materially affects you takes effect. Carrying on using the app afterwards is how you accept it; if you'd rather not, cancel and delete your account.
Anything unclear? Email support@shipwhenready.app and we'll explain.
