Frequently asked questions

What is ShipWhenReady?

A release checklist tool for indie makers. Give each version of your app a checklist you trust, so nothing ships half-done.

How do I sign in?

Choose “Continue with GitHub” on the sign-in page. Sign-in goes through GitHub, so there's no separate password to manage.

I signed in, but you're asking for my email — why?

Some GitHub accounts don't share an email address with us. When that happens we ask for one and send a verification link. We need a confirmed address to finish setting up your account and to send you account emails.

What can I track?

Your products, and the releases under each one as they move from draft, to in progress, to released. Every release gets a checklist. Required steps can't be skipped by accident, so the critical work never falls through.

Does ShipWhenReady work with GitHub?

Yes, in two ways. You can link a product to a GitHub repository and bind a release to a milestone in it, and that milestone's open issues then show beside the release's checklists. Signing in also goes through GitHub, which is separate and needs no repository access.

How do I delete my account?

Open your profile and choose to delete your account. That removes the account along with every product, release and checklist tied to it.

How is my data handled?

We use your data only to run ShipWhenReady for you: signing you in, and storing the products and releases you track. We don't sell it. The privacy policy has the detail.
